Story Quilt
STORY QUILT
At St Giles, Balderton, we are thrilled that our lockdown story quilt has now been unveiled. This is a piece of living history that will forever be a part of our story and will have a permanent place in St Giles where it can be seen and celebrated.
Thanks go to everyone who made a contribution and to Maddy Gibson and Christine Lathlane for their skill and care in putting it together. The quilt represents the lived experience of the lockdown for many and gives a sense of hope and the value of living in community through times of great challenge and change. The butterflies represent loved ones who have been lost during this challenging time.
Please do come and see the quilt for yourselves and may it help you to reflect on your own experience over the last 16 months.
